Returns

Don't stress, we are here to help, and we are awesome at it. If you have any questions, concerns, or need to return a product that you purchased from The Choice, please email [email protected] with your first and last name, phone number, and what you need from us. If you don't hear from us in a reasonable amount of time, please call 250-489-4568, or hit us up on Messenger or Instagram.

Items purchased in-store from The Choice Shop must be returned within 30 days of the purchase date for a full refund (exclusions apply). Items purchase online from The Choice Shop must be returned within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund (exclusions apply). After 30 days, items can be exchanged for another item or store credit.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Items must be in their original packaging with all of the original tags and branding attached.

Items sent back due to incomplete address, refusal, or being unclaimed will be refunded minus the shipping costs for both ways.

International purchases are considered to be Final Sale and not eligible for return. For orders placed outside of Canada, please refer to our policies on International Shipping & Returns

There are certain situations where refunds will be refused:

  • Any item not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts
  • Items missing packaging or tags
  • Items that come back with strong unpleasant odours
  • Items not purchased from The Choice
  • International Purchases are final sale (this includes US orders)
  • Clearance Items (30% off or more), Underwear, Bathing Suit Bottoms, One Piece Bathing Suits, Helmets (safety equipment) and Avalanche/Backcountry Safety Equipment are Final Sale

Gift Cards are non-refundable. Purchases made with a gift card may be returned for store credit.

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
Depending on the situation, refunds will be applied to your original method of payment or a store credit. Refunds may take up to 5 business days to appear on your credit card statement, but you will receive a refund conformation email immediately. If you do not see a refund in a reasonable amount of time, please contact us. 

Please Note: If there was a shipping charge associated with your order, this charge is non-refundable regardless of return - unless otherwise specified.

Shipping

Unfortunately, as a small, independent shop, we are unable to cover the costs of items to be returned to us; the cost for return shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser.

Click here to purchase the appropriate return label. Please be honest with the size of item that you are returning. If you are unsure, please ask. Once we receive the purchase confirmation, a return label will emailed to you. Please print it off, and attach it to your parcel. Return labels are usually emailed within one business day.

If you are returning multiple large items (i.e. snowboard and bindings, or boots and bindings), individual labels need to purchased for each large item returned. 

Save that box! Save that packaging!! Most of our orders are shipped in recycled cardboard boxes, and/or reusable plastic bags/bubble mailers if they are still in fair condition. These can be reused to ship back any returns while maintaining the quality of the item(s) and saves material! All returned items must be properly packaged so that no harm is caused to the product during shipping.

**Do Not apply tape, return labels or any adhesive directly on the manufacturer's packaging (shoe boxes, binding boxes, goggle boxes, etc). Pack the box inside another box or bag and apply tape or adhesive to the outside of the parcel.**

Applying tape, adhesive or damaging the manufacturer's original packaging in any way may result in reconditioning fees or the denial of your return. Shoes, snowboard boots/bindings, goggles, sunglasses, etc must include the original box in its original condition, without postal labels, stickers or tape stuck directly to it. Snowboards should be shipped in snowboard specific boxes.

Shipping and receiving times may vary depending on where you live, and the shipping service used.

If you choose to ship the item on your own, please add tracking. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
