Harry Somerville

I’m from just outside of Cranbrook, and have been snowboarding for a good amount of time now. I have been competing in Freeride comps around North America the last few seasons. I mostly ride bigger terrain but have fun on a board no matter what the conditions are!

Richard (Dicky) Hoeksema

I started snowboarding in 2007 with my first Salomon snowboard, paired with Dakine bindings and some ex-rental boots I picked up. After graduation, with a bit of extra cash in hand, I was finally able to invest in better gear, which led me to The Choice Shop. Over the years, my passion for the sport grew, and so did my skills. In 2019, after the Blitzville Rail Jam, held right next to The Choice Shop, I was stoked to finally land a spot on their team after pulling some big maneuvers in the comp.

Creating snowboard content and season edits has always been a huge part of my journey. For a long time, I worked hard to catch Joey's and Mikes attention, hoping my edits would land me a spot on the team with riders I looked up to for so long .As a versatile rider, I love hitting cliffs in the backcountry, jumping in the park, and, most notably, sliding steel rails.

What Dicky's Riding:  Currently, I ride the Salomon Abstract, a board I’ve been on for the past few years, paired with Salomon District Pro bindings and Dialogue boots. When I’m in places like Fernie or tackling big mountain terrain, I switch out my boots for the Echo boots to give me that extra support.I love the artwork on the Salomon Abstract boards, and the hybrid camber really complements my style, allowing me to seamlessly transition from hitting rails in the park Kimberly to sending it off cliffs in Fernie.

Katie Anderson

I've been a competitive snowboarder since highschool. Originally got on The Choice snow team when I was racing SBX, did that for 7 years and was on the Canadian national team for 3. Then I moved to Freeride and was the FWT champion in 2023. Been recovering from knee surgery and switching my focus to backcountry riding over competition this season!

What Katie's Riding:  Salomon Highpath 156, Salomon Hologram Bindings, and Salomon Vista Boots. I'm riding 686 outerwear and like the core jacket and outline pants.

Jaxon Toorenburgh

I've been snowboarding for 20 years now just trying to keep up with the kids that haven't been alive for that long.
