Men's Snowboards
Choosing the right snowboard can make a huge difference in how much you enjoy riding. Whether it's your first board or you're replacing one that's seen better days, finding the right shape, flex and profile will help you progress faster and have more fun on the hill.
At The Choice, we only stock the brands we'd ride ourselves. If it's in our shop, it's because we've tested it and believe it's a good product. From all-mountain cruisers to powder boards and park boards, we're happy to help you figure out what will work best for the way you ride.
Finding the Right Snowboard
There isn't one snowboard that's perfect for everyone. The best board depends on where you ride, your ability, and what puts the biggest smile on your face.
If you're just getting started, a forgiving all-mountain board is usually the best place to begin. If you spend your days in the terrain park, you'll probably want something softer and more playful. If carving groomers, chasing powder, or riding steep lines is your thing, there are boards designed specifically for that too.
Camber, Rocker or Hybrid?
One of the biggest differences between snowboards is the profile.
Camber boards offer great edge hold, pop and stability. Rocker boards are more forgiving and float well in powder. Hybrid profiles combine elements of both, giving you the best of each depending on the board.
Don't get too caught up in the marketing, though. Every brand builds their boards a little differently, and two boards with the same profile can ride very differently.
Choosing the Right Size
There isn't a magic formula for snowboard sizing anymore.
Your height matters, but so does your weight, boot size and riding style. Some riders prefer a shorter, playful board, while others want the stability of something longer.
If you're not sure what size to choose, we're happy to help.
Brands We Trust
We carry snowboards from Burton, Capita, Jones,Salomon, United Shapes, Libtech and other brands we've spent time riding ourselves. Every company has its own personality, and we'll help you understand the differences so you end up with a board that suits the way you ride.
